Abiding Word is our congregation. It is where we are fed with God’s Word and Sacraments. It is where we worship together and work together to carry out the ministry God has entrusted to us. We are all a part of this ministry. We all serve in different ways and have different levels of involvement. But when we joined this congregation we all committed to at least being aware of the work we do together and also to supporting that work in different ways.This Sunday’s open forum is an important way for us to meet that commitment. The goal will be to share information with the congregation about the budget shortfall before Christmas and how God moved us to respond. We will discuss our ministry plans for 2017 and talk about how we can all be involved. We will talk about staffing our congregation, school and ECE and learn the level of offerings needed to support our plan for ministry and the staff needed to help carry out that plan. Finally, there will be time for questions and answers. It is a privilege to be a part of a congregation and a blessing to be aware and involved in Congregational life.
