Malachi was the last prophet of the Old Testament. After him was 400 years of silence. As the people waited for the Messiah to come, they waited with Malachi’s words in their ears: Live in repentance!
God’s Old Testament people wanted peace and purity. They wanted justice. They cried out for God to help. God promised to send a messenger, one who would make all things right.
