Malachi was the last prophet of the Old Testament. After him was 400 years of silence. As the people waited for the Messiah to come, they waited with Malachi’s words in their ears: Live in repentance!
King David committed adultery with Bathsheba. He murdered her husband and tried to cover his sins up. God sent a prophet to confront David’s sin.
